IRL I am not a Ronda hater. She has done so much for sport and although she is flawed I respect her. As far as her continuing in MMA , I would be shocked. She is notoriously tight and is now worth north of 10 million. It was said she would be able to beat non strikers. But there are not many of those out there. If you look back at Tate 2, McMann and Corriea you see Ronda take shots to the face. She has no head movement, terrible footwork, and bad striking technique. Those are somewhat natural gifts that you have or you don't, and she doesn't. Now her knees are shot she is not going to develop footwork. Chuck Liddell spoke of how at one time he was able to take head shots and keep going. Eventually even though his frontal brain was saying keep fighting his prehistoric brain was saying fuck you. After Holm loss Ronda said she was out on her feet after first big left. Nunes put her out on feet with a jab. Thanks to her thick neck and huge heart she was able to stay standing and absorb blow after blow although everything except her frontal lobe was telling her body to shut down. If she makes huge mistake of fighting again, it will take even less. I see no fighter in top 10 I would favor her against.
Which brings me to Ronda vs Nia in our fantasy. No, I don't think in real mma fight Nia would win. But let's say Ronda goes in thinking Nia is jobbing to her. However the evil Vince has double crossed her. Nia comes out and punches an unsuspecting Ronda right in face and sends her to Queer Street. Nia is 200lbs and size does matter. I would not enjoy a fantasy story where say Alexa Bliss beat Ronda. She could punch her and Ronda would laugh.
