while I was in a backyard wrestling league, another one of the girls in the league worked at a strip club where he was recruiting people for an erotic wrestling company that would have combined pro with ultimate surrender. She invited him to the backyard league to watch a match that I was in. I was the only one that took the offer that paid between $1000-1500 to film a match plus 10-15% of video sales royalties. The company that was starting in Florida did no advertising ahead of time and only filmed a few matches where I did 2 before it suddenly went belly up. Fortunately we got paid but the company folded buying expensive camera equipment and paying the workers before they had a chance to sell anything. Seems that the girls were mainly recruited from strip clubs and some were small time indy wrestlers. There wasn't any sort of online recruitment going on as far as I know.
