I desperately bit my tongue, for about a second, after I read this. Poor, poor Lucky, who is stuck with such a bitch of a wife, that by his own description wants to see her face etched in pain. Of course, most anybody who runs across Maureen feels the same way.
I can't believe that those who have enjoyed me and another wife hissing simply want to see either of us abused. My own husband Tim wouldn't dare feel that way. I think it has more to do with watching 'ladies", wives, mothers who have their loving side almost always visible turn primal when confronted by a peer. Its about seeing us put our self worth on the line, knowing that one of us will be bolstered, and the other diminished. The drama is about what the opponents feel is at stake, and how each will finish the fray.
Without the emotional draw, it is just an amateur brawl that could end with the foes chugging down another beer together.
