I really think she nailed it when she made the comparisons to nature and pointed out just how much her models enjoyed playing the part. I think there is a very natural and human attraction to almost any fighting. It fills our media and has for centuries. Just look at a modern boxing event. It will draw in millions of eyes just to watch two guys pound the heck out of each other. And you can't tell me that NOBODY in the audience is turned on watching it. Hell two guys brawl in a bar and they will clear out the joint to watch the fight. Again... nobody is aroused watching the fight? The difference is for some reason it is ok to be excited and even aroused by guys fighting. But if women are fighting we are supposed to be repulsed? Horrified? Ashamed that we like to see it? Makes no sense. In many ways, I think women are more excited to see the catfights than the guys. Maybe different kind of excited, but definitely excited. I think to some extent they are living vicariously through the fighters wishing they could settle their disputes the same way. I think they long for that release. Women have real conflicts... serious conflicts. If guys had the same conflict, they would beat the hell out of each other, one would win, and it would be over. For some reason society forces women to leave these conflicts unresolved... for ever. No wonder they are frustrated and secretly like the idea of "settling it".
