Does anyone know what became of Jeff The Ref?  He was often seen in Festelle and Danube videos.  I lost contact with him about a decade ago and was hoping to reconnect with him.

Regret to inform you our Jeff passed away some months ago.  This site posted the announcement but I could not find it.......

I had seen him in a lot of videos.. but did he have an ownership of Festelle or DWW??? Anyone know how he started doing the refereeing??

Jeff the Ref passed away quite awhile ago, I mean at least 5 years ago, probably more.

I loved how Jeff would let the women fight, if they wanted to brawl he would keep it controlled to a degree, but would let them settle things. Great ref and officiated in some truly classic encounters, I was very sorry to read of his passing. Would have loved to have heard how he became involved in the industry and his motivations, best matches and favourite fighters.

He was always the ref when I attended Festelle meetings in the mid 1990s. His main objective was to ensure the ladies didn't get hurt but if both ladies wanted to he would let them go at it.  He was so good you didn't often notice him.  He obviously became the ref to have as he worked for DWW in Austria and AS Beka in Germany as well as Festelle.  A gentleman.

Thought I didn t attend any live events neither DWW nor Festelle (both used to be my main order source back then) I also gained that impression you described so well. A sad and sudden loss to our scene.

Any videos or matches come to mind where things go a little rough and he just let them go at it?

Festelle Video FV112-1 (Tina Antman vs Anita) comes to mind. The two clearly hated each other and wanted to inflict some real pain - since they were of the same mind, he stood well back and let them settle their differences.

Another one worth watching was DWW , Hungarian Eveline vs Swedish Tina and back with Festelle, English girl, Danni vs French girl, Sophie.
