A topic of discussion to my liking. It's bad that it's behind a paywall (then again, I've to accept the fact, plenty of research is privately sponsored and they're entitled to recompense).

I can especially attest to the fourth. One of the characters I created and is based on a real person I used to know, her envy was pure spite. I managed to hurt her pride once and not only did she make life difficult for me for the rest of the school years but also kept it up on reunions.

The character is, in turn, envious of the harmony of the relationship, not of the people who're in it (a common misconception by so many of my fellow men that they really equate that with a misplaced desire, when it's not present).

Dear Sinclairfan, since your setting still is to not receive any replies to your PMs, I thank you here for the suggestion and will try just that.
