Just discovering this but wow if this isn't something that I've been mulling over. A lot of times I find the psychology of a rivalry and it's escalation to verbal and then confrontation to be more exciting then an actual fight when done right. The way it twists and turns the emotions. The self doubt. The ego riding on high. The jealousy. Lust. Rage. God it's just the best.
