Just wanted to share this movie I came across a HBO I think.
It was titled “Vanishing Family” or something.
The story begins with a well to do family returning from a vacation/ business deal in Hawaii. To find out they were being robbed. Before the movie begins they show a small scene about the burglars, a mother , daughter in late teens and the mothers lover sleeping in the family home beds awaiting the return of the family.
Upon returning the burglar family rounds up the domestic family , man to man , woman to woman and girl to girl.
The domestic family daughter was an athlete who tries to escape but the burglar daughter runs after her and after a slight scuffle manages to overpower her.
The hostage take over goes as the burglar family planned , they manage to physically and mentally destroy the domestic family in every way, the burglar family mother takes the wedding ring off the other womans and says” im the better woman and you should not even wear something as expensive” .
The burglar family daughter tries to feed leftover food and torments the domestic family daughter, and the burglar man makes the domestic family father bark like a dog and drink water off the dog plate.
Long story short the burglar family gets away with money taken off the bank of the domestic familes accounts. However their murder plan doesnt work out as one of the neigbbours who felt suspicious about the house being very silent followes their vehicle. He in turn gets shot and dies. However this allows the hostsge family to escape and they make it to the police station. However noone beleives the story as it seem the famiky was alreadg bankrupt and suspect this was a cover up.
Things escalate quickly and the domestic famiky father talks the mother and say they need to be tough and fight back. They need to find the other family and make them pay to what they did. They lie to their daughter and send her away and manage to track down the family.The daughter who checked the location off a call she makes to her parents realizes somethings going down and follow the parents.
The families meet , not to the best expectation but they meet and one family wins in the end. One family humiliates the other.
The movie had so much potential to assess the fights and choreograph them but as to low budget and home movie status they hardly had any fight. Just one punch knockout kinda fights. Which was really a dissapointment.
But the story could have been very interesting if they had actually done goos fights in their.
