Jamie Dantzscher vs Shannon Miller
« on: March 19, 2019, 04:03:22 AM »
Round 1

The arena floor had been divided into three sections for the main event fight.  The two combatants entered the first section, which was a large open space covered in mats with a balance beam running down the middle with springboards at both ends.  Shannon Miller walked to one end of the beam.  The blonde was dressed in a white leotard which she hated to admit was a bit more snug than it used to be.  At the other end of the beam Jamie Dantzscher prepared to mount the beam.  The brunette wore a bright red leotard which highlighted her every curve.  Two referees walked up to them and handed each of them a pugil stick.
"Leftovers from the American Gladiators?" asked Jamie with a smile.
"The rules are simple, the first one to knock the other off gains ten points toward the final score.  If you drop your stick, or you knock it from your opponents grasp you must return to the end of the beam and wait for a referee to retrieve it.  If you strike an unarmed opponent you will be disqualified and the ten points awarded to your opponent." said a referee at the middle of the beam.
Shannon jumped onto the springboard and bounced to land both feet firmly on the balance beam.  Jamie jumped forward, flipped, and landed on the beam.
"Show off." laughed Shannon as she pranced toward Jamie.
"Beam was always your favorite, I have to show you up a little." said Jamie.
"You own bronze, I hold more gold than you'll ever see.  You might as well do yourself a favor and walk away now.  You're good, but against me you're just out of your class." said Shannon.
Jamie gritted her teeth and swung toward Shannon.  Shannon smiled and blocked the swing with her stick and smacked the padded end into Jamie's ribs.  Jamie grunted and flipped back out of Shannon's range.  Shannon could see on Jamie's expressive face that she was angry at herself for being so easily baited.  Shannon cleared her throat and her smile vanished into the stoic cold face that her opponents had come to dread.  Shannon moved forward, bent a little and swung her stick toward her opponent's legs.  Jamie jumped straight up, raising her feet up over the stick.  Shannon used the momentum of her swing to turn herself completely around, turn her stick, and slam the end into Jamie's gut.  Shannon's cold expression didn't even crack when she heard the loud:
   "Oooof!" from Jamie.
Jamie bent over a little and took a stumbling step back.  It looked like Jamie was going to fall, instead she turned, hooked her leg on the balance beam and bent back across it.  When her back bounced off the wooden beam she used the momentum to come up to a seated position, then rolled back to her feet with her stick ready to fight.  Shannon stepped back, tucked her stick under her arm, and gave a polite little golf clap.
"Now that was impressive." said Shannon.
"Shut up and fight." snapped Jamie.
Jamie swung toward Shannon's knees, but Shannon somersaulted back away from the stick.  Shannon knew she had succeeded in getting her younger opponent to loose her temper and was waiting on her to make a mistake.  Jamie walked quickly down the beam, using the stick for extra balance and speed.  Shannon sort of smiled as she swung for Jamie's ribs again, but Jamie dropped to her belly on the bar, causing Shannon to miss.  As Shannon tried to correct her swing Jamie jumped to her feet and swung her stick with all her might.  There was a loud hollow boom in the arena as the padding caught Shannon in the solar plexus.  Shannon's blue eyes opened wide and went glassy as she let out a gasping moan.  She took step back and missed the beam.  Jamie smiled as she watched her opponent bounce on the mat below the beam.  Jamie ran to the end of the beam, jumped, did a flip, and landed with both feet together.  She arched her back and raised her stick high over her head.
"The first round goes to Dantzscher.  Ten points."

Round 2

After a ten minute break Shannon and Jamie moved to the second part of the arena floor.  This time Shannon wore bright red leotards with a black stripe across her shoulders and the tops of her arms.  Jamie wore pure white leotards which were extremely tight.  It was a cage from one side of the arena floor to the other.  Inside the cage were ten sets of uneven bars, with the high bars on the outside and low bar inward, where at the middle two low bars were side by side.  Shannon went in one end of the cage and Jamie the other.  Again there were springboards set for them to jump up onto the outer high bars.
"Okay ladies the rules here are simple as well.  When we begin you will mount the bars.  If you can make it to the other end you will get ten points, if you knock your opponent to the floor you get five points, if you both fall the one who hits the mat last will get two points."
Shannon looked at Jamie and kind of moaned.
"This isn't fair, she's an uneven bars specialist." whined Shannon.
"What are you on the balance beam?" asked Jamie.
Shannon lay her hand just below her sternum and winced.
"Didn't help a whole lot." said Shannon.
The referee blew his whistle and both jumped onto the springboards to grab the high bars.  Shannon swung through to put her feet on the first low bar then stood on it to move to the next high bar.  Jamie straightened her legs, pointed her toes and began spinning around the first high bar.
"She's going ot make this quick.  Build up some speed then plow through me." said Shannon.
Jamie let go of the bar, sailed over the low bar to catch the next high bar.  Shannon moved up to the fourth bar while Jamie continued her quick approach.  Shannon crouched on top of the high bar while Jamie came to the two low bars.  She swung over to stand on the first low bar then jumped to the second, balancing on it to grab the high bar.  Shannon waited until Jamie began to spin around the bar until she made her move.  She jumped from the top of bar, turned her body and caught Jamie with her legs around Jamie's ribs.  Shannon grunted as caught the high bar and spun forward with Jamie's momentum, carrying the younger gymnast between her legs.  Jamie didn't have time to react when Shannon let her go.  Jamie flew into the low bar waist first and rag dolled across it.  Jamie's bright brown eyes went glassy and teared up as she tried to catch her breath.  Jamie slithered down off the bar and lay on her back panting and trying to suck air back into her lungs.  The referee blew his whistled.
"The second round goes to Miller.  Five points for knocking her opponent off the bars."

Round 3

After another ten minute rest the two combatants moved to the final area of the arena.  It was a large mat surrounded by a cage.  The mat had the padding and springs underneath that allowed the allowed gymnasts to do their tumbling runs safely.  Shannon was dressed in a bright red sleeveless blouse and cut off jean shorts while Jamie opted for a skimpy black top and jeans.  Shannon held her hand out to Jamie, but one look at Jamie's face and she could tell the California girl had come to fight.  The referee stepped between them.
"As we stand now it is Dantzscher in the lead with 10 and Miller with 5.  The rules of this one is simple, there aren't any.  You can do to each other whatever you can get away with.  The fight ends with a standard wrestling three second pin which will earn you 2 points, a knock out will earn you 5 points, or a submission will earn 10 points."
The referee stepped back and blew his whistle.  Jamie crouched a little and Shannon moved toward her.  Jamie reached for Shannon's ankle, but Shannon spun around behind Jamie.  She put her arms around Jamie's and grabbed her wrist over Jamie's solar plexus, squeezing hard.
"How are those ribs doing, Jamie?" asked Shannon.
"About medium rare." grunted Jamie as she leaned to one side.
Shannon released her grip when Jamie smacked her elbow into Shannon's nose.  Shannon stepped back and felt her nose to make sure it wasn't bleeding.  Shannon did a couple of back flips, then stepped into the corner.
"On this can't be good." groaned Jamie as Shannon took a deep breath.
Shannon sprinted out of the corner.  At about half the distance to Jamie, Shannon rolled to her hands in a somersault, intending to use her own body as a battering ram.  Instead Jamie somersaulted to the side, leaving Shannon to do an undignified belly flop in the middle of the mat.  When Jamie saw Shannon's prone body, she looked around at the crowd and a big smile came on her face.  Jamie raised her hands over her head and fell to her knees.  She rolled her body along the mat in what gymnastic fans had come to call the "Jamie Jiggle", or what most people called the Worm.  The final roll ended with Jamie's hand coming down across Shannon's ear.  Jamie rolled over on her back and jumped back to her feet while Shannon rolled around in pain, clutching her head.
"Oh it wasn't that bad, Shannon.  A lot of show and a little disorientation." said Jamie as she pulled Shannon to her knees by her hair.
Shannon opened her eyes and looked up at Jamie.  Jamie could do nothing more than groan as Shannon landed a hard uppercut into the brunette's bare belly.  Jamie wheezed as Shannon got back to her feet.  Shannon put her hand on Jamie's shoulder and raised her knee up into Jamie's belly.  Jamie grunted and fell to her hands and knees.
"If you don't quit doing that, I'm going to loose my lunch." gasped Jamie.
Shannon jumped over Jamie's back, grabbing Jamie's arm and leg as she went, whipping Jamie over on her back.  Shannon held Jamie's shoulders down and her legs up as the referee began to count.  Jamie kicked her legs and rolled over on her belly before he could reach the three count.
   "Oklahoma roll?" asked Jamie.
"Well I am from Oklahoma." said Shannon as she grabbed a handful of Jamie's hair.
Shannon pulled Jamie up to her feet and gently patted her cheek.
"Now you just stand still and we'll get this over with." said Shannon as she looked up and down her dazed and winded opponent.
Shannon did a couple of backflips to get a little distance, then ran toward Jamie.  Instead of standing still as Shannon expected, when Shannon jumped to tackle Jamie, Jamie bent a little, caught the backs of Shannon's thighs, turned, and drove her into the mat back first.  Shannon arched her back with a grimace as Jamie got back to her feet.  Jamie picked up Shannon's left heel holding Shannon on her back.
"I think I've owed you this one all night." said Jamie.
Jamie fell between Shannon's legs, driving the point of elbow into Shannon's belly.  Shannon coughed and made low croaking sound as she tried to catch her breath.  Jamie smiled as she picked up Shannon's left foot again.
"Now, my dear Shannon.  Do you remember why you had to retire?" asked Jamie as she turned around, laying Shannon's leg across the other.
"Ah no!" groaned Shannon as Jamie executed a picture perfect figure four leg lock.
"In case you've forgotten, I haven't, that bad knee of yours." said Jamie as she lay back.
Shannon shrieked in pain as she lay back on the mat.  Shannon heard the referee counting and sat up.  Jamie smiled as she looked down at Shannon.
"Come on Shannon, all you have to do is let go of that pride and give up." said Jamie.
Shannon clenched her teeth and shook her head.  Jamie looked down as Shannon began to rock her hips back and forth, then threw her whole body weight over to her left side.
"Oh no!" gulped Jamie as their bodies turned over.
At that point Jamie learned that the wrestling announcers had not exagerated when they said the pressure reversed in this position.  Jamie untangled her legs from Shannon's with a yelp of pain.  Both women got to their feet.  Jamie was a little disturbed when she saw the smug little smile on Shannon's face.  The smile quickly vanished when Shannon tried to walk and pain stabbed through her left knee.
"Oh poor baby, having a little trouble walking?" taunted Jamie as she walked around Shannon.
Jamie kicked toward Shannon's knee, but Shannon caught her ankle, turned it, and forced Jamie to the mat face first.
"Now, Jamie dear, have you forgotten why you had to retire?" asked Shannon with that same smug smile.
   "No!  Shannon!  Don't!" gasped Jamie.
"They say the ankle is so tender, especially after it's been injured, operated on a couple of times." said Shannon.
Jamie screamed in agony when Shannon twisted on an ankle lock.  Jamie gritted her teeth and slapped the mat in front of her as a signal of submission.  Shannon gave Jamie's ankle one last hard jerk, then dropped her leg.
"Round three goes to Miller with 10 points, bringing her total to 15 and making her the winner." said the referee as he raised Shannon's hand.
Shannon looked over at Jamie and saw her sitting, rubbing her ankle, and glaring at Shannon.  Shannon smiled and walked over to her defeated opponent.  Jamie slowly got to her feet gingerly shaking her ankle to make sure she could stand on it.  Shannon held out her hand and smiled.
"Like I told you before, you were just out classed." said Shannon.
Jamie took a step back and lashed out with a reverse kick.  Jamie's foot caught Shannon square on the jaw, turning her head.  Shannon's blue eyes glazed over as she fell back stiffly.  Instead of stepping over Shannon, Jamie stepped on her as she walked toward the door of the cage.
"Don't think this one is over, Shannon." said Jamie as she walked out.

Would ask any of our talented writers here who wanted to write a re-match for these two.
