question of pride
« on: October 23, 2019, 09:02:05 AM »
You are asked by a catfight company to do a scripted catfight/wrestling match. But in this scripted match you are the one that is scripted to lose. On top of that you are dominated for a few minutes. Would you do the match? Or would your pride stop you from doing it?

Many years ago I emailed Joan Wise and suggested a match between two of her fighters.  She responded that such a match-up couldn't happen because it would mean that one of them would have to lose -- and neither would be OK with that.  According to Joan, they feared that they would lose followers should they ever lose.

I regret not being creative enough to suggest a draw.

Ultimately it's a job so it's all going to depend on what I have to do, who I will be working with and how much am I being paid to do it.

You would have thought someone who owns/runs/manages/promotes (? I don't actually know what she does) a business that does scripted fights would have been creative enough to come up with that by herself or to think of a way of protecting the loser even in defeat or going with a pair of matches where each participant wins one or since it's scripted an alternative ending or just giving the loser enough cash for it not to be a problem or some other crazy idea like it was all a dream or it was her twin sister or she has a mask on. Me in 10 seconds apparently having more ideas than Joan Wise, cheque please.

I would ask the producer and the opponent if we could have a real fight, leaving "who wins" to the merits, rather than the script.  If I were to lose
on the merits, and even get dominated because of it, I can handle that, as I gave it all I have.  I don't think its sexy to just get beaten up.  That
lacks the necessary element of a true contest where the winner TAKES the dignity of the loser by force.  When that happens, it is sexy.

I agree that it depends on who the opponent is and how much is the producer paying? In certain circumstances i wiuld hapoily lose a scripted fight and hopefully do an amazing job selling my performance.

I have to agree what Steph has said, it is a job, despite any animosity as long as that coaching sings I seriously doubt anyone cares what the script says, and lets face it if it really bothered someone enough to care, they could always agree to meet alone another time off camera, but like 98% of the videos made and has been said before, good luck finding 2 models getting a 100 bucks an hour willing to seriously get their faces scratched, or punched over moving onto the next video where they win in a script

I am curious. Who were the two models you wanted?

I assume that this Q was directed at my post above, so I'll answer it.   It might take us in a different direction than the original question intended, but what the heck.  That's what makes this board so much fun.

One of the women went by the name "Rock Rose" and I can't recall the name of the other.  Here's the kicker.  Both were heavy-set, big busted, true BBW's.  I have always had an unabashed preference for thicker women, and these two were ideal for my taste.  Back then however, such women were only used in mixed wrestling matches (which I loathe) or to abuse / dominate wimpy little twerps (which I loathe even more).  Nobody thought that there was a market for two BBW's actually wrestling or fighting EACH other.  Since then Lady Hawke, then Crystal realized that the Bear wasn't the only guy on the planet that had a thing for heavier women.  Kontex has produced some great stuff and other companies have offered a smattering of the same genre. And there was the BBW Fight Club out of Eastern Europe fairly recently.

However in Joan's defense, I'll say that she was a pioneer in this industry and to her credit, she took the time to respond to my inquiry.  She just missed out on making a few more bucks and being an even-more-visionary pioneer.
