Back in the mid 80's i remember as a teenager watching a film called KITTY AND THE BAG MAN. In it, there's one of  the most thrilling cat ball cat fight scenes i think  i have  ever seen at the movies. I've been searching high and low for it for years with no luck (not on you tube)....... until now ! Please forgive me as i'm not savvy with connecting videos on here but if you google 'archive.org kitty and the bag man' and forward to 26 mins 40 secs, you will see the fight in all its glory. Kitty is played by Liddy Clark who fights Big Lil played by the one and only Val Lehman, famous for her starring roles in Prisoner: Cell Block H. I hope you enjoy it !

I think this catfight had great potential, but IMHO, there were too many cutaways, and the fight was very short.  The women really went after each other, and the smaller woman ended up with breasts exposed, but for whatever reason, the people who made this movie didn't focus very much on the catfight itself.

I'm not criticizing your post.  I had never heard of this movie before, and any movie that features a catfight should be brought to our attention.  I just wish the film had kept the cameras on the fight, and the women should have been allowed to fight much longer.  I do agree with you that it was a catball catfight.  Those types of fights are almost extinct in today's movies and tv, unfortunately.

Thanks for the link Wasteland. I'm totally with you regarding the lack of focus and length to this fight, it is a shame because it really had the potential to be so much more. All said and done i thought it was a nice example of the floor rolling 'catball' we love to watch and sadly rarely see these days ! Appreciate your comments.

I would agree that there were too many cutaways, but the fight itself was pretty darn good -- much better than I expected.  Thanks for the find and the link.

On the subject of cutaways: Does anyone remember the movie Irma La Douce starring Jack Lemon and Shirley McLaine?  The worst catfight of all time.  An entire, sexy build-up, then all you see of the fight is Jack Lemon's expressions.  Some producers qualify for jail time.
