Losing to him means the contestant become his servant until she quits the league or redeems herself. Currently Ariel Winter is Dan's servant and she's desperate to find an opponent he can handle...
For a week or two before the match, Ariel Winter had scouted Anastasiya and tried to help Dan with strategy. Dan's response was pretty consistent that at 5'9 and 125, Ana was some twiggy model and he had it under control. Once Ana was in the ring with him he started to have doubts. Doubts that 125 was an accurate weight, and doubts that Ana was a twiggy fashion model, the one group that he had at least moderate success against. His doubts were confirmed as the match started with an early trade of punches. His attacks were laughed off at and at best didn't seem to have any effect. As Ana pounded his face he was sure Ana had a roll of quarters in her fists.
Changing tactics Dan tried to lock up with Ana, who easily worked him into a headlock. Ana drove her knees up into Dan's chest and gut, eventually causing him to collapse to the mat, but at least he was out of that headlock and not being choked stupid. It was a short reprieve however, as Ana drops a knee into his back, then grabs his hair and bounces his face off the canvas a few times. She drags flings him onto the ropes, and on his return hits him square in the chest with her knee, flattening him on the mat again. Ana picks him up and hip checks him to the ropes, sending Dan careening through the ref and ropes as he lands outside the ring.
Anastasiya slides under the ropes and stalks Dan, who tries to push himself up off the ground. Dan feels Ana grab his hair and pull him to his knees, Dan closes his teary eyes waiting for something terrible, but nothing happens. Ana lies on the ground, Ariel stands over her holding a broken chair. Ariel drives the chair straight down onto Ana’s back several times, getting a satisfactory squeal with each hit. Ariel gets Dan to his feet, and Helps him roll Anastasiya back in the ring. "Now you idiot, you listen. The reason she's here fighting you is because everyone in the league, except apparently you, knows her back is her weak spot. I hit her with this damn chair repeatedly... in the back! Now get in there, Don't hit her anywhere but her back! You can probably just pin her! Back back back! Got it??"
Ana is in bad shape inside the ring. Ariel was dead right about her back, she had tweaked it a few matches ago, and hadn't it wasn’t healing. Now she laid in the ring cursing herself for not taking time off, cursing Ariel for the sneak attack, and cursing at the fiery pain in her back. She still hadn't even tried to get up when Dan drops down on her back, and quickly locks on a camel clutch.
The ref finally got to his feet, and checks Ana to see if she wants to quit. She had no intention of submitting, at first anyway. Luckily for her Dan was sitting a bit far back, so the hold wasn't nearly as bad as it could’ve been. But Dan gets frustrated that she won’t give up, and rocks back and forch trying to wrench her head back just a bit more. That did add a bit to the hold, but the worst part for Ana is that he was inadvertently inching down her body with each pull. Eventually Ana hit her breaking point. She is about to give when Dan lets go of her chin, grabs her hair and pulls her head back with it.
The ref pops up and argues with Dan about the whole hair incident, ignoring Ana who is trying to submit. Ariel is the only one who seems to notice and once the ref forces Dan to release the hold she goes ballistic at ringside. A few fans at had to duck behind the barrier as she was throws whatever she can find into the stands. Looking back into the ring she sees Dan finish with the ref, then drops an elbow into Ana's back. Ana grunts and Ariel sees in her face that she had to be done. Another elbow drop from Dan, another grunt, and Ana just manages to clench her fists.
Dan then just had to antagonize the crowd. Ana wasn't moving, he had time. He circles around Ana, planning his next move while whipping up the crowd, and he decides his next great moment would be a backbreaker on Ana. That would be his ultra cool finisher! He thought. He peels Ana off the mat, goes for the classic scoop lift, but the weak man struggles to lift her. As he brought his leg forward to drop her across it, his lack of balance and lack of strength causes him to tip forward. Fortunately for Ana she missed his knee entirely, and was dumped to the mat. Ariel gives Dan’s pathetic showing an earful as Ana tries to recover. Taking Ariel’s advice, Dan crawls over to Ana and flops on top of her for a pin. Ana manages to get a shoulder up before the three count, and Jim Ross would have went off for 20 minutes about how sloppy Dan’s pin attempt was.
Dan grabs Ana's hair and drags her to her knees, then hefts her to her feet and pushes her back into a corner. Once there he goes for some chops across her chest a la Ric Flair. Ana pitches forward with an arm around her chest, and Dan goes back to wandering around the ring trying to rile up the crowd. Dan backs into the opposite corner and takes off, lowering his shoulder to spear Ana. Unfortunately for him, Ana moved out of the way before he made it. Dan slams into the empty corner, hanging there as Ana catches her breath. she drags him out of the corner and hits him in the side of the head with an elbow. Dan collapses to the mat, receives a few stomps from Ana, who then backa up and drops a leg across his chest. Dan sputters for a second before Ana picks him up, bends him over knees him til he once again collapses to his knees. Ana took her turn to wave to the crowd before going back to beat on Dan some more.
Ana leans over Dan and says "This is how you do a backbreaker loser." She Plucks Dan off the mat and drops him across her knee. Dan flops to the mat where he takes stomps from Ana.
Ana backs up to the corner and gets up to the second rope. She hops off and lands her butt right across Dan's chest. The ref slid over and counted the pin, causing Ariel to once again rage at ringside. Ana left the ring after the ref lifts her arm and declares her the official winner.
Ariel crawls in the ring and screams at Dan, who just laid there in response. Ariel stomps and kicks Dan while screaming at him. Ana gets back in the ring and walk up behind Ariel, then clubs her in the back of the head. Ana spins Ariel around, kicks her square in the gut, pulls her in close, then delivers a vicious power bomb ko’ing Ariel. Ana picks Dan up and drops him on top of Ariel before leaving the ring, now totally satisfied with the outcome of the match.
Ana shouts to the cameras as she heads backstage. “That loser Dan had no right to be in the ring with me. Barely an annoyance. Now that little witch Ariel, if she ever makes it back to being a competitor, I will teach her a few things the hard way!”
The League Part 4: Brooklyn Decker vs DanThis story takes place in "The League" a celebrity combat franchise with one major rule: anyone who loses 4 straight matches must face Dan, the wimpy male who serves as the league's enforcer. Losing to him means the contestant become his servant until she quits the league or redeems herself. Currently Ariel Winter is Dan's servant and she's desperate to find an opponent he can handle...
Dan was quite happy with this matchup, as fashion models were the group he'd had the most success against. Trying to stay skinny enough to walk runways admittedly helped said models with stamina, but not so much as far as strength or speed. Usually the good news for Dan is that by the time these models are on losing streaks, they're nearing the end of their career. Veronika Varekova and Fernanda Motta were two good examples of matches where he came out on top. Years of battling and newer competitors in better shape had worn them down enough for Dan to take advantage. Other times the results weren't so good for Dan however, as both Adriana Lima and Heidi Klum had both defeated him pretty easily.
As for his next opponent, Brooklyn Decker, she had quite the career. She rose through the ranks quickly, held the Models title for quite a while, till she got pregnant and gave up the belt. 2 children later, she made a comeback and won the title again. 2 defenses later, she ran into Ashley Graham, who with her size and power had become a wrecking ball in the division. Many wondered if Ashley had broken Brooklyn mentally, physically or both as she spiraled through a few losses in her next matches. Brooklyn herself was wondering that, and why she hadn't just retired to avoid this whole mess.
Losing this match was obviously not an option. She had no desire to replace Ariel, who a few months ago was a happy carefree young girl, but recently had turned to a spiteful venom filled witch. Ariel had even setup the match, a back-alley street fight, publicly announcing that even if Brooklyn won the match, she was sure to lose as those supermodel looks were sure to be going away in the carnage.
Brooklyn wasn’t too concerned as upon seeing the league’s enforcer she laughs, realizing how easy this match may actually be.
It took a bit to setup the match, since obviously this couldn't be done anywhere in public. A ring was replaced with a 25 foot section of prebuilt asphalt and walls. And in a 'city cleanup' effort, a dumpster and all manner of crap from a local alley was moved in and scattered around, ensuring plenty of obstacles and weapons.
At the start of the match, Dan closed in trying to start up a fistfight, which Brooklyn had no interest in at all. She dodged a few punches, then moved in, grabbed Dan, and wrestled him to the ground. Brooklyn obviously had the better skills there, but Dan was a bit stronger, and with his obvious weight advantage he wasn't in serious danger for a bit. Eventually able to break free, he stood up a bit winded, whereas Brooklyn looked a bit dirtier than before, but otherwise still looked fresh and ready to go. And indeed she was, locking up with Dan again and pushing him back into the dumpster, Brooklyn then started picking Dan apart, using her long arms to block everything Dan did, she was able to wear Dan down with knee and elbow strikes. Nothing exceptionally powerful, but the volume and precision were draining Dan quickly. Dan eventually slid down to a seated position trying to get some air, and Brooklyn backed up a step and landed a couple of kicks to his chest.
As Dan was stumbling to his feet, Brooklyn was looking around at the debris for something to use as a weapon. A couple of plastic bags were close, so she wrapped them together, stalked behind Dan and wrapped them around his neck. Dan's eyes bulged and panic immediately set in. He tried to throw an elbow back at Brooklyn, then another, both of which missed horribly. Flailing in a panic he did manage to bounce Brooklyn off the dumpster, at somehow just the right angle for her to lose her grip on one side of the bags freeing him. As Dan is stumbling around, Brooklyn decides that now might be a fine time for some fist action, and starts pummeling a wobbly Dan. In his condition he has no answer and eventually winds up with his back to the dumpster eating punches. He slouches to the ground and tries to crawl away from Brooklyn, who once again starts looking around for something else suitable to ruin the rest of Dan's day.
Before she gets too far, the dumpster lid flies open, Ariel pops up and swings a piece of PVC pipe, hitting Brooklyn in the back of the head and dropping her to her knees. Ariel hops out of the dumpster, and swings the pipe again, knocking Brooklyn to the ground, and then a couple more swings for good measure. Ariel drags Brooklyn to her feet, and then slams her headfirst into the dumpster. Brooklyn crumples to the ground, and Ariel picks her up and repeats the smash into the dumpster.
She tries to pick up Brooklyn again, but Brooklyn is just a lifeless mess at the moment, so Ariel just tosses her back to the ground. Ariel goes over to Dan, pretty much has to drag him over to Brooklyn, but drops him on top of her and waits for the ref to count her out. Dan, although credited with a win, looks to be still out of it, but Ariel helps him to his feet so he can celebrate with her. Ariel raises his arm, looks at the fans booing them both, then turns and drives a knee into Dan's junk. Dan collapses to his knees, and Ariel sends him face first into the dumpster. Retrieving a can of spray paint from the dumpster, Ariel tears of Dan's shirt, paints "idiot" across his chest, then proceeds to spray Brooklyn's hair a lovely shade of green before leaving the arena.
Brooklyn is of course infuriated at the outcome of the match, having it under control so easily only to get ambushed at the end. She promises Ariel won't be able to escape her for long...
