The ones who don't do this anymore
« on: July 08, 2020, 08:00:05 PM »
I see a lot of topics about women that used to do this, but don't anymore, usually asking what they're up to now or reminiscing about them. It got me thinking though, I wonder if there's a difference between women who wrestle/catfight now vs back in the 80s/90s/early 00s. The girls who did it back then seemed to do it for money mostly, with very few still doing it and doing it more frequently. The ones who mostly stuck around were porn stars or ran their own sites. Now, with clips4sale and or more companies that seem to keep the same girls, we see them doing multiple videos and the girls seem to stick around longer. I know as much as we would love to think the girls who used to do this are still excited about this and think about it, but do you think it's plausible that they don't even really think about it anymore? I mean, to us, we fall for these girls and collect their videos and think 'this is my favorite!' But for them, they move on and get married or go with other careers. Or, do you suppose any know they have a big following online and such? Excluding the ones who still do this or own their own companies, do you think girls like Kelly or Natalie from Bitchfight or Krissy from Ringmaster or malay from Crystal know that there are people that still talk about them? Do you think they tell their future partners about how they did this or ever watch their matches or anything? Or do you think they just forget it? DO you think it's different for girls now vs the ones who did this before the internet?

Bunny, an excellent topic!

I've wondered the very same thing.  Do you remember Andi who fought several times for Crystal?  I always thought she was one of the best looking women who fought for Crystal, and she was also one of the best fighters, in my opinion.  I read on some forum (perhaps in one of the fcf forums??) that she got engaged or married, and her fiance/husband didn't want her fighting anymore, so she quit.  I always wondered about that.  I was never in that situation, but if my wife or girlfriend fought for Crystal, I think I would have wanted her to continue, unless she wanted to stop.  But that's just me.

I've also wondered about many of the women who fought for Crystal.  Most of them are middle aged now, and probably have kids and even grandkids.  I'm sure they know their videos are still out there circulating in cyberspace, and are still being watched by old and new catfight fans.  But I wonder how their kids would react to seeing one of those old Crystal Video Magazines, and seeing mom or grandma in a knock down catfight?  That would be very interesting!  Way back, decades ago, if I had seen a video of my mom or grandma in a catfight film, I probably would have been shocked....but also excited!   ;)

I do find it a great question, although my answer is by no means scientific I think it is how it generally goes.....Two women that I know who retired from fighting Wildcats got married and their husbands know nothing about their past....Broadway who worked for the wildcats met a nice guy and she had no plans for telling him about her past in terms of the film work she did...I am sure there are some that mention it to their perspective partners but more so than not, I think it retires when they retire...
The stand  out that I know is a blonde woman named Trudy who did several matches for various companies and to this day will pop in a video cassette of one of her matches if asked.....By no means is this scientific but it is the outcome of several real women that did this and then stepped away

Bayguy, I wonder how Broadway would react if her husband ever ran across a video of her fighting, or perhaps a friend or coworker of her husband saw Broadway fight and brought it to his attention?

Another interesting question....She was a very nice person so I’m hoping that they would realize she just did this to make some money while her career was taking off....I have known one or two women that have had their film work come to light to no real adverse affects.....People change as the years go by, hopefully we do not look at one small Segment of a persons life and judge them totally by it.....For example I got a message from someone on how to get in touch with Trudy, He had seen a film and wanted to hire her to do a match I explained to him that that film was about 20 years old and she was now in her mid-50s and probably not interested....Interestingly enough it was not that he did not realize the tape was old he just figured if she did it one time for money she would do it again....I explained that she owns her own business now, have a family and it was really not something I thought she would do....I did send her an email, she and I both got a great laugh out of it but she very politely said that was then and this is now and it is not really part of my life any more

....No it was not Trudy Adams, in fact Trudy was not her real name at all....She did some matches at Dan’s Place in Fort Lauderdale, met one or two couples for fun matches, Went to New York a couple of times,  once to fight a woman called Babs who worked for JJ and another time to match with Kelli Right after she and JJ met....

Babs was interesting to me. Certainly not a "looker" be she dove into her bouts with Kelli, Marie, Polish Warrior whoever. No fear and confidently attired.

Babs, Was the real deal....Totally unskilled, heart of gold and put on a very good show while still being a five day a week employees at.another company....I do not know this to be fact....But I believe the Trudy was one of her first matches.
JJ had set up a match between Trudy and and Babs daughter,  When we arrived the daughter was a no-show and JJ in his normal style acted like sitting around for several hours while he found someone else was no big deal...In this case it was the one time that I was glad I waited...Babs arrived, was pleasant, conversational, and made it clear that she was going to fight to the limit within the rules as long as Trudy  did the same....That 35 mins was one long hard match, I believe Trudy won several falls - Babs  ended up winning one but each one was action packed with grabs, punches, slapping, massive hair pulling etc.
After that point Babs and I stayed in touch, I hired her for several other matches always finding her to be on time, ready to fight and not necessarily too worried about the attire.....Babs never got the credit that Mary did but she fought Kelli in an incredible series of matches ....Never winning out right but always taking a fall or two through shear  grit and determination -often by using a crotch grab. Like Ellen,  Babs never turned  down a match....I will be forever thankful for the ones I was able to watch that she was involved in.

A great topic for discussion. It's a big regret of mine not taking the opportunity to attend those functions like TPC etc, back in the day as now I could honestly say I've seen a fight in the flesh so to speak. I know I'm not alone in this particular fetish but I've led a somewhat solitary existence with it so far. Taking that big step into a crowd of like minded individuals outwith the likes of this type of forum feels somewhat daunting to say the least. Still there's time yet, hopefully. I always did wonder what happened to Lena & Ayesha who fought for TPC ? Likewise Maylay & Taylor from Crystal plus a few from the Chickfight stable, Joslyn, Mishell, Mandy & Amber. So if someone would like to point me in the direction of a couple of mature ladies having a bare fist (feet, knees, elbows & head allowed) no time limit knockout bout then I may just shed this cloak of anonymity  ;)
www.Fighting Grannies.com anyone ??

Nice thread, lots of good information.

I've heard of most of these women but I'm not sure who Babs is?

And I also wonder if Lena and Ayesha are still battling their way through the UK :)

It's great to revisit this thread again.

I saw a post the other day on another forum, and it was an old video from CV video magazine 3, I believe.  It was almost 30  years old!  Those women could be grandmothers now.

I'm an old fart now, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around the passage of time.  My parents used to tell me that time goes by faster the older you get.  I laughed at them then.  I'm not laughing anymore.

Was Babs working with any other outfits besides JJs FWC? Anything else possibly out ther?
What happened to the daughter? Is she anyone we'd know?

Babs fighting Kelli was a doozy! Good one with Marie too. Babs was a gamer it seems. For me not attractive but her confidence to get in there and fight and wearing attractive attire made her an admirable catfighter to me.

Babs Worked with JJ for a while and then simply stopped returning his call... she did video work for FWC, but was so much more than just a fighter, much like Ellen/Kelli/Marie..... she was game for almost anything, showed up on time, If new people were in the mix she basically acted like a den mother, made sure they knew what to wear, how to protect themselves and what was expected of them.... While not necessarily the most beautiful woman she certainly had an inner beauty which made her stand out from the rest.
I think what I take away from this is it there is no litmus test for the perfect fighter or “perfect” match, much like the matches themselves it is the individuals who truly make the videos good. For example compare a skilled Broadway dancer- in the prime of her life, fit, confident, plenty of stamina, leg and core strength off the chart and if you told me that you were going to match her with a down on her luck 50-ish Polish woman- I would’ve simply said boring and the outcome is inevitable… as most of you know The Polish warrior pulled off a stunning  victory after taking a lot of abuse from Broadway....
JT is another woman that should be mentioned in this category....Not only  did she except challenges from women irregardless of their size but she wrestled men as well.....She even traveled over to England to answer a challenge from someone in that country....She and her husband posted pictures that we all got to enjoy...
Where ever they are nowadays I wish to thank each and every woman that did matches and allowed some photos or videos to be distributed.....It was brave and bold of them and we will be forever in their debt.... for they laid the groundwork of what we have today in terms of companies, types of action and diversity of subject...
