Ruby Rose casually strode into the convenience store her signature red cape flowing in behind her. She was in her final year at Beacon Academy and was on the verge of becoming a true Huntress just like her mother. The old man was still staring at her and Ruby began to feel slightly uncomfortable. “I’ve seen you before“ he muttered.
“Mmm well I’ve been in here a few times,” Ruby said.
“No that’s not it, “he said squinting even harder at her then his eyes lit up. “Oh your Ruby Rose from team RWBY aren’t you”

The old man grabbed a newspaper he had on sale and held it up. The headline read. Huntress is in training bust crime boss. With a picture of Ruby, Yang Weiss and Blake posing next to a tied up Roman Torchwick.
“Yep that’s me,” Ruby said.
“I’ve never had a famous person in my store before,” the old man said.
“Well I don’t know about famous” Ruby said modestly.
“You and your friends took down the biggest crime boss in Beacon if that doesn’t make you famous I don’t know what does,” The old man said. “Tell you what as thanks for keeping the streets safe I’ll give you a 50% discount off anything you buy this one time.”
Ruby’s eyes sparkled. “For real”
“Yeah maybe if people know someone like you shops here I might get more business,” the man said smiling.
“OOOO, thank you thank you thank you thank you,” Ruby said practically jumping for joy. Then with a burst of rose petals, she was gone zipping around the aisles of the shop as fast as her semblance would aloud grabbing an assortment of her favourite snacks and goodies.
The old man watched the red blur in amazement and started to wonder if he had made a bad decision.
Ruby zoomed down an aisle when she came to a skidding halt as she nearly bumped into another girl. The girl gasped and jumped backwards and Ruby narrowly avoided hitting her.

“Oh no,” the old man said clearly not sure what to do. “You can’t take her alone I’ll go and get help“ Ruby nodded to him and the old man ran out the store moving fast for someone of his age.
The two women faced off with each other in the snack aisle of the store.
“So you’re here to get revenge on me for taking down your boss aren't you,” Ruby asked her silver eyes locked with Neo’s mismatched pair.
Neo nodded again.
“Well that’s not going to happen, I’ll take you down just like I did to your boss,” Ruby said reaching for her weapon then she froze, remembering she had locked it in the safe before entering the store. And the only person with the key was the old man who was halfway down the street. “Oh,” Ruby was not known for her hand-to-hand combat relying mostly on her precious scythe in a fight. But it looked like now she had no choice, fortunately, Neo was also without her weapon as wel,l so it looked like it was just going to be girl on girl.
Ruby raised her fists in what she thought was the correct fighting pose. Trying to remember what Yang had told her when they were practising hand to hand combat.
Neo just stood there her hands at her sides a sinister smile on her face. She began to walk closer to Ruby her hips shaking.
Ruby fought down her nervousness determined that she could win scythe or no scythe. When Neo walked in range she threw a punch for her face. But Neo easily dodged to the side her pink and brown hair flowing.
“EEEK” Ruby squeaked knowing missing a punch made her vulnerable to a counter-attack.
She quickly turned to face Neo only to get a slap right in the face. Ruby squealed and took several steps backwards as her cheek stung painfully.
Neo lunged forward and grabbed Ruby’s black and red hair and yanked. Ruby screeched and stumbled towards Neo grabbing her wrist in an effort to get her hands off her hair. “Ow, ow ow ow” she moaned. Neo dragged her around by the roots of her hair for a bit slamming Ruby into one of the shelves before pulling her back in, as snacks rained down upon Ruby’s head. “Let go of my hair” Ruby complained. But Neo just shook her head continuing to drag Ruby around by it.
Wincing Ruby raised her knee and slammed it into Neo’s stomach. The mute girl gasped as the air was displaced in her lungs. She was forced to let go of Ruby’s hair couple steps backwards.
Ruby took a moment to run her hands through her hair to make sure it was still all on her head before lunging forward and grabbing Neo’s own significantly longer multicoloured locks. “Let’s see how you like it,” Ruby said before pulling on it.
Neo’s mouth opened in a silent shriek as her head was bent to one side by her hair and she was forced to stumble forward. Ruby went all-in on the hair pull, pulling on it with both hands as hard as she could. Neo with one eye closed had no option but to get closer to Ruby. But as she did she kicked upwards in a wide arc. Her boot disappeared under Ruby’s skirt and connected with something.
“AAAAAAOOOFFFAAAAA” Ruby shrieked her usual high-pitched voice somehow even higher. She did a little hopping dance as she clutched her crotch before sinking to her knees “You can’t do that, that’s cheating”. She moaned.
Neo strutted around her downed opponent as if she was a tiger sizing up a potential meal. She stopped behind Ruby and grabbed her red hood.
