Victoria Pratt was at an age where being part of the catfight world of Hollywood was not really a thing. In all her years she was known for wars. Her feud with Renee O’Connor had short fights that were extremely violent and left scars on both. She lost two fights to Renee and won four and in two of her wins she nearly lost. Sitting down now with Jodi Lyn O’Keefe to do a podcast.
“Honestly, I should have stepped away and ran away if challenged again after the last Renee fight, but I just couldn’t let her be my last. I was her last and if she beat me, she would have taken me out and I’d respect that. The argument we should have left this scene together makes sense. I just couldn’t, I couldn’t give her the satisfaction and Wilkinson wasn’t going to and she told me as much and I got lucky against her I really did. Not Jenny McCarthy lucky but lucky.”
Of everything you went through and another two women you were known for multiple fights with were Michelle Lintel and of course Jennifer O’Dell.
“Probably don’t forget Carol Grow. As much as the fights with Renee I’m known for the four with Michelle were absolutely taxing. She had my skills which I didn’t know the first time we fought, and she knocked me out cold. I knew it the second time and she knocked me out again. Third time I got the win on a reversal. Then we went to hell and back similar to my last fight with Renee except stronger and harder because Michelle and I were at our physical peak. She went looking for a fifth, but you know the rules if you aren’t involved in this, which is why I couldn’t have one more fight with Carol Grow, who by the way. I want to make this clear to everyone… Jennifer O’Dell threw me off a second floor onto a couch and that was nothing compared to the things carol and I did. Even in our first fight I still get people who were there asking me how I was the one who walked out. Carol scorched my skin; she cracked my skull. If she stuck around in entertainment, I honestly think a fight between us would have only escalated. In the end I won that war and that’s important because Jennifer O’Dell I did not. Jennifer is probably listening so that’s all I’m going to say wait she is as skilled, she is as strong, and our fights are vicious she is the combination of Renee, Michelle and Carol.”
Not going to lie it sounds like Jennifer is who you fear but let’s move onto women who if you fought earlier, you could have had one of those intense feuds with. Recently you had a win against Dina Meyer and we’re too old to keep going. No one really knows who won between you and Christina Cox. Then there’s that fight with Jenny McCarthy you already mentioned, and she might have been the one time you were out skilled.
“Jenny freaking McCarthy… My god that fight was something else. I had to bring it all to hang out with her and she may not have been as nasty as she could get as she got against so many who she despised. We liked each other but my god we tore that room apart. Whenever we run into each other we hug her and gives a little extra squeeze, and we talk about that fight because we both loved it and I’m not kidding she loved how much skill I had and that we never went into we’re only fighting each other feud. She wished we fought in our 30s and we would have torn the roof off and made us the heights of this world. Dina Meyer and I fought, and I won. It was a tough fight, but I won. She’s someone else who we talked about for years but neither of us made that move to fight and probably would have had a hours long war had we fought younger. The rematch which she asked for and what happened was hard for both of us. Listen, she said that was her last fight, but I know if I am as honest as I have been she will come for me again and this time she won’t have to convince me to fight the way she did last time. We do not like each other at all right now. It should have happened earlier, it didn’t and now we get the rage like it did and we’re in competition for major roles which we aren’t. I’m getting angrier thinking about Dina so yeah Dinaa don’t think I believe your done… Don’t think you can show up in my hometown or on a set I will fight you a third time, a fourth time or no matter how many times it takes. I don’t care if we are in assisted living, I see Dina Meyer I’m ready to fight. As for Christina Cox… Christina god I wish she and I fought the first time we saw her without a shirt on. She and I aged so well, and that fight was… you know there were a few women from that syndication tournament one I never fought in Angelica Bridges, but Debbe Dunning never came looking for more and that was a brutal fight even worst was Kari Wuhrer. Kari was a brutal fight and rumors where she wanted more but I never seen her again, so I never saw her again. God damn was that Christina Cox fight one I wish we had younger.”
So, at the end there are fights you wish you had that never got.
“So many. God so many first off, the big one is Jaimie Pressly. It seemed like we were on a crash course for a long time and then it didn’t happen. That’s a question I legit wanted to know the answer to. My god she was like one muscle and had this vicious streak. I spoke about Bridges earlier and honestly, I can’t remember if we fought at the Syndication tournament and another one from Baywatch that my god back then I thought would be easy to fight but now and she looks better now is Donna D’Errico. Of those three Jaimie is toughest of course but that fight put me in O’Dell’s crosshairs, and I just won’t back down from Jennifer, but I would prefer us to never fight again… She beat me twice, she won the war, she won the rivalry she damn near broke me my back. You asked me about women I looked at facing or thought our paths would cross Jennifer and I crossed three times and if there was a fourth there’s two option and one is after a hard fought fight I get the win and I never talk about this again I never go and have any kind of fight again that’s one that would have been one the other is she beat me again after a long hard fought battle and she retires me.
I’m tired of Jennifer subject and will likely talk about a few more times because yes, I lost to her I fully acknowledge that but well you all know me. There was another at the beginning of my career no one knows about I tried for a role and didn’t know what a producer meant next thing you know I’m beaten up, stripped and school girls. Remember when you did that to me Sherrie Rose and listen, I know all of you Black Scorpion women were happy I ended Lintel but now in this interview thinking about that jump by you. Plus, you aged well enough like me and still work. Last few years I thought about that more and more and wanted one more battle. To see how it would really go. Might be too late now but God damn and let’s talk about Black Scorpion. Cleopatra and that were on at the same time and women their vs me or Jennifer Sky. Jennifer is retired and its someone back then people asked me about but she’s legit my friend.
I won’t talk about women like Allison Armitage who left the business. Plus, I already talked about Bridges and that slut Carol Grow. Lisa Boyle recently retired but there is one more from that show and we had so many faces to face that neither of us made the move like Christina Cox. It was a hell of a lot closer with her, but she would say we weren’t fighting because of Lintel. Sometime because it should have been her that did that or because she was thankful of me. Nancy Valen is the real queen of that show and is still amazing and she talked about how she should have had the fight with me. Maybe it’s just one, maybe it’s a rivalry. Baywatch and Black Scorpion and so many other roles like mine and we never fought. Crazy.
Couple taller ones Kathleen Kinmont god damn did I want to try her. Also no one will be surprised to hear Claudia Black and I both regret not fighting it out at least once. Resumes are so similar and that’s the Xena effect as well and one from Xena I got lucky she left the business is Tsianina Joelson.
I’m going to give a couple names that will shock people who I always wanted to fight. One was in a lot of movies like me and has so many skills and is laterally involved in the industry. Maria Ford you ever hear of her, and folks Jodi’s face just went and lit up thinking of that fight. Another one is personal we met and didn’t like each other and it’s on me I talked about her getting her ass kicked in Lurking Fear and she’s a scream queen. Theres never been a overlap at the events we were at and if there was, we would have fought, and I think it would be a one sided beating she thinks she’d destroy me. We have emailed and been in contact. One off color comment by me and it’s been two of us snipping with words. Ashley Laurence is a bitch as far as I’m concerned.”
Jodi asked “Before you list any others and that’s a pretty good list, I think the toughest of the lot to you is probably Maria, but Sherrie and Nancy would be a barn burner. You talk about a certain kind of movies, Baywatch, Black Scorpion, your own show Mutant X and Xena. No mention of her.”
“I know who you’re talking about, but I also wanted to bring up Sandra Hess…Ok yeah Jenya Lano…. Jenya Lano and I do not like each other and even the episode she did of Mutant X she brought up replacing me if there was season four. One episode of who truly is the better feral. She played a tough on Xena I played a queen. She was an action star in C movie so was I… I’d love to talk about others to avoid talking about her. Think about more names from other 90s syndications and other syndication shows from around the world. Jenya Lano, she is right up there with Carol Grow without having legit fought Jenya. Right up there with O’Dell…I think we should stop now.”
You forget a few that you talked to me off air
“Oh yes that bitch Adrienne cost me my chance to fight Carrie Keegan I’d still like that one. See if I can batter those titties or get battered by them. Also, former A-lister now straight to DVD, reality show starring soaps appearing Denise Richards. She got some legit resume and now is on my level of fame I’d love to see that. Theres one more big titted bitch but she’s a executive producer now so I can’t challenge her, but she knows id beat those tits flat.”
We got hopefully two minutes left. What do you fear will happen after this podcast?
“Well, it aired live and who know who is listening. It’s not fear but I want to make it clear I never challenged Jennifer O’Dell. She beat me, she nearly killed me in our biggest fight. She helped Renee before mine and Renee’s last fight and God damn did Renee feel like fighting Jennifer at times. All the women I talked about were in my age range and some might take it on themselves to be my last fight. Some really hate me and want to have that on their mantle, beating me and making me stop.
“We’re off air now Vic. Few of those women live close and a few far away. Let’s relax for a bit because we both know O’Dell hates her name in your mouth. Dream fight for you with her of all women you ever fought who would you like to see her as motivated as she is with you fight?”
“You lost a chance at beating Shannon… Those women who do you think or what do you think about them?”
Jodi sat back thinking about the pod cast then her phone went off “Ha you talk about Adrienne Wilkinson because.” Phone up and glasses on “Vicky can talk about the others all she wants I beat her ass, and she got lucky. Not over between us and I look forward to showering in her tears when I rip her apart and retire her.
Victoria sighed and looked up “She beat me up but lost… She fucking lost. Reply to her and tell her to follow what O’Dell’s doing and tell me what you think of it all. You fought who you had to fight and really everyone knows whether it was you or Ali that Shannon was getting killed.”
“So enough about me and Shannon. That’s closed and so is my life around it other than through you and this path. Jennifer O’Dell must think she should have this right but it’s on you to ask if all roads lead to one last fight. She had already been talking about getting involved more since you fought Renee and Adrienne but still no fights. Adrienne obviously wants to be your last and to me it should be a public fight between you and Christina. Like even I don’t know who won that fight. That’s crazy, you won’t tell anyone, and she won’t and yeah it should have been you and her all these years going crazy on each other.”
“Honestly… Christina and I fought so many times without fighting. Compete for a role and go to the back room and have a hockey fight. Shirt overhead and takedown gets winner. Then we fought and God damn did she ever fight me, and God damn did I ever fight her. We prefer people not knowing but I know there’s a part of both of us that want to fight each other to a draw and be done. Retire each other.”
They had a couple more glasses of wine and went out and a few cars had pulled up. Jodi looked at Victoria “Some took what you said personal I guess.”
One woman was out of her car, and it was Sherrie Rose. It was the first time Victoria had seen her in years. “Why Victoria?” Sherrie asked, “Not many knew we had history, and I was fine with that because you took out Lintel.”
“Sherrie. Of all the ones I mentioned you are the first to get in my face.” Victoria looked around “Who else is here?”
“Does it matter. They never got out to confront you like I did and I think they sense this is… What should have happened years ago well I guess it did happen years ago didn’t it?” Sherrie smiled.
