Do women like to talk about catfights?

Of course everyone is different, but in general, do you think that women like to talk about catfights that that were in or potentially going to be in. Or fights that they have seen?

When women discuss catfights it would be a mistake to assume a physical altercation has occurred. It tends to be about two women or a group who are involved in an ongoing bitchy feud.

Back in the '80s, one of Oprah's guests was an attractive MILF who had lost her husband to his out-of-town mistress, and the jilted wife went on and on about her many (unsuccessful) attempts to confront the mistress.

Oprah ate up every word of it.

Most of the time I think they would be shy about it unless you know them well. A while ago my sister had a fight with a girl I liked but my sister and I don't really get along that well, so she wouldn't have told me anything about it and not many people were there to see it also, to ask about it. When I next saw the other girl I asked her about it and she was a bit suspicious at first why I was asking, but I managed to get her to talk about it, and she seemed to enjoy talking about it, probably because she won haha.

Can you tell us a little bit about the fight?  What do the girls look like?  Did your sister put up a good fight?  How did your friend finally win?  Were you surprised she beat your sister?  Have you told your sister that you know she lost?

My female cousin told me about how she slapped a classmate of hers. Then the classmates mother called my cousins mother and threatened her that her family was very influential and not to mess with them.

Well I didn't actually see the fight myself, but the other girl said it was easy and bragged about how much hair she ripped off my sister. I wasn't really surprised, I did think she would win but I wouldn't have been surprised if my sister won either. And yeah my sister hates the fact that she told me about it.

your sister being mad about the other girl talking over the fight with you…

Do you gather the impression your sister would go at her again if opportunity arises?

It was a while ago so I would be surprised if she did, also if she got beaten as easily as the other girl made out then that's another reason not to. But I think she exaggerated a bit about how easy it was.

I can't imagine women at a dinner party, happy hour, girls night out, book club, church event, etc,... discussing their catfights that they had.  :o

Obviously this does not apply to all women, but on the whole women are far more honest when they are chatting amongst themselves.  Men are more likely to brag and exagerate.  A man might say to his friends, that he had seen a couple of women fight but it wouldn't go very much further than that. Women are more likely to discuss how it made them feel.

Rich did your sister dispute the claim that her opponent won easily?  Did she give her side of the story?

When my ex got together with some of her nursing friends and had  some alcohol they lossen up about some of their fights .
Most of the fights were due to pent up frustration and  stress very rarely was it over a guy. I think that's male projections that we have.
The silliest  one I witness was over a screwup dessert and they went for it slapping and tearing hair until they were pull apart  it was crazy.
retired and self exploring daring to leave one's comfort zone.

She clearly didn't want to talk about it, but she tried to deny losing but I could tell she was lying.

From my point of view NO we don’t , number 1 reason is in general we aren’t thrilled we were reduced to have to fight that way, part of the reason couples can’t talk about it.
2) a real catfight can feel like a flash of time, and not every detail is recalled and a few better off not mentioning. 3 we prefer our men are aroused by us being with them and wanting us for us not hearing a real fight story or fake( though at times everyone needs a little help lol)

In general yes, humans are attracted to combat, superiority and dominance. We like talking about our victories and achievements. Back when I was in college 2 girls got into an altercation, the winner of the fight always liked to remind everyone about her victory even after a considerable amount of time had passed. This highlights a deeper aspect of human nature i.e. the desire for validation and recognition and what better way to gain validation than through demonstrating one's prowess and superiority through physical combat.
