I'm guessing you mean about the Korean I mentioned? Not sure how much you know about the Oriental club scene but "juicy bars" are common all over from Korea to Thailand and most everywhere in between. The girls attire varies from dresses to bikinis and high heels to knee-high go-go boots depending on the club and country. Anyway, when they are not on stage dancing their job is to sit with the clients and get them to buy over-priced, watered down cocktails for the girls. They get them to do this by showing whatever level of "attention" is required. Flirting, climbing in your lap, etc. The money is split between the club and girls and the girls usually have a quota for the night. In Korea when I was there they were managed by local gangs who collected "fees", disciplined the girls and reported to more professional Mafia/Yakuza type groups.
Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah. Sunny (Sun Hi) was a girl I had known for a year or so. A buddy of mine was one of her regular customers and we were casual friends. She sat down. I bought her a drink so we could talk without the mama-san yelling at her. As my eyes adjusted to the dim lighting I realized she had scratches and bruises all over her neck, chest, arms and thighs which she had made an effort to conceal. I asked what the hell happened to her? She stood up and turned around to show me she also had marks on her back and ass. One of her breasts was nearly purple! She said her face was also scratched a little but she had covered it up well. I did notice what looked like a bit of a black eye and cheek swelling though. Of course I wanted to know what happened so she told me she had a fight 2 nights before. My eyes must have lit up because she laughed and asked if I wanted to hear about it. Duh!
What I remember her saying is that right after she got home from work at the club she heard a knock at the door and when she opened it there was a rival from another bar. I forgot her name now so I'll just call her Mi Yung. Anyway, they apparently both had the same fairly wealthy customer and both were vying to get themselves "promoted" to his girlfriend since that job would include a much nicer home, access to a car, nice clothes, etc. Mi Yung had decided that was the night they should settle who would "get the job".
Throughout Asia one removes their shoes indoors so they were standing there in her small place barefoot in their tight mini-dresses from work. Neither owned much so neither wanted to risk tearing the dresses up. They agreed to remove them which left both in just their G-strings. Juicy girls rarely wore a bra under their "work clothes" for obvious reasons. Sunny didn't go into a blow-by-blow description of the fight. She just said that it was pretty even and vicious and they really beat the hell out of each other. Every part of the enemy was fair game for knees, fists and nails. Sunny claims that she finally got the upper hand on My Yung, beat her senseless and dragged her out. I didn't know Mi Yung very well but I did know where she worked so, as casually as I could, I finished my beer, said goodnight to Sunny and hurried over to the other club to see for myself. Mi Yung wasn't working and the mama-san said she had been "sick" for a couple of days. I had to work the next few evenings and never did get around to trying to talk to Mi Yung to see if I could get her side. She might not have told me anyway since we weren't close and she apparently lost. I guess Sunny did get the promotion as a month or so later she left the club and I never saw her again.
I've seen bar girls beat each other with their spiked heels, ashtrays, beer bottles and whatever else they could grab over a few dollars. Being a bar girl is a hard and dangerous job. I have no doubt these 2 women went to total war for a shot at an easier life.
