'The Fearless Vampire Killers' is probably the one movie I've seen most often.

Now is that a legit horror movie or something of a spoof?? Eurohorror??  Just the name. Reminds me of the Peter Vincent character.. in a VERY good movie.
Fright Night  the original .. have not seen the sequal yet.  Think he was going by Peter Vincent, great vampire killer.... Hmm Ya know.. probably going to watch that one again this weekend!!
Good mix of comedy.. as well as some very good vampire bits and effects.

Nightmare before christmas

Shania .. have to agree with you on this one.. OMG some of the songs just stick in your head days after watching it. HAVE not heared it.. YET  know they did a re-make of the songs from soundtrack on cd. With star/ big name artists ... doing the songs.  May have to check that out if still available.

HAVE to add this if not mentioned before...  ACE VENTURA PET DETECTIVE!!  Jim Carey at some of his best over the top antics... Laces out!!

Lexi have to admit.. still very tempted to get some of the UNiversal monster collections.. Like Frankenstein, dracula, Wolfman and creature. All have the original classic movie... Then extra sequals or movies using same characters in them.
The originals .. definately well done.. THEN you get into some of the silly stuff... Like Dracula vs Jesse James ....

Myself guilty fan of the Godzilla movies... Love the old stuff, where Godzilla almost dances an irish jig, when winning a battle... Destroy all Monsters.. Just cause it was like a who's who of the monster movies.

A few favourites of mine.

Gallipoli

Beaches

The Power of One

The Last Waltz

All are very different yet each manages to strike a chord without being pretentious.

mary xxx

Gallipoli .. which war is this based on?? Also isn't their more than one version of this?? An original and another one maybe made in the 90'S??
Have not seen it, so more info please!!

Storm

And poor aussies fighting at the other side of the world for british empire...Lots of people died during that war..

WW1, the coming of age of Australia as the Anzacs are sent to fight the turks.
Has a young Mel Gibson in it as a supporting actor.

"Two Australian sprinters face the brutal realities of war when they are sent to fight in the Gallipoli campaign in Turkey during World War I."

The Hobbit !!

Yep saw it tonight finally ...  YES it is part of trilogy.. so has a stopping point. You have to wait for the next movie to pick up.

Will NOT give any spoilers.. other than you do see some familiar faces. From the recent trilogy.. in fact opening ties nicely into that.

I will say,, it is very impressive. Some of the scenery or settings are amazing. Trying to tell which is actual, and which is special effects. Not as easy, as the old Sinbad the sailor movies. I still watch now and then.
Such clear images, and so vibrant at times. Almost seems to pull you into the landscape or action.

Needless to say.. Probably will catch 1 more time in the theater. Yes I will buy it on dvd when time. Plus I will for sure, see the next one, if at all possible. When part 2 hits the theaters.

Lets start from the bible I mean From Russia with love
Then follows Scarface , all the Ocean 11 movies because lots of movies stars and very clever script,a scifi epic Dune by David Lunch, all LOTR,STAR WARS,STAR TREK
movies remind me my childhood, loved the last FAST and FURIUS 5 film
and of course AVATAR especially on 3d is amazing.
Last but not least KILL BILL 1,2  8)

Nice diverse group .. BTW  NEW Star Trek movie  supposed to be out this summer... saw small trailer.. Did not reveal much.. yet looked interesting.  This going off the most recent younger/ in time cast of course.

With the Star Trek .... you have to admit... It has got to be almost impossible. Trying to do a story setting.. BEFORE almost all the series or original movies have taken place.  To try and not mess with continuity or things that happened in them.

Think that was one of the same problems the Enterprise series with Scott Bakula had. Think someone even got ticked it did something. That went against facts given in the old animated series.
I probably will enjoy this movie. Yet I am not the rabid, have to know every fact, and speak Klingonese trekkie fan.
