KASIA ... Think it is cool. Seeing such a lovely young lady. Liking some of the older titles that way!! Thanks for adding in!!
Think Kasia has made One Flew over the coocoo's nest. A multi mentioned title now!!

Mary ... brings up nice idea.. westerns!!  Pauline your hubby into those or just war??

Some of my fave westerns .. more modern..
Tombstone of course.. Why Johhny Ringo, you look like someone. Just walked all over your grave... Some great lines, and powerful scenes.

Silverado ...  Sacketts  (Based on Louis L"amour series .... ) ...  Open Range ... Purgatory (Very different kind of idea). Maverick with Mel Gibson ... also great cameo role for James garner.

Older classics ...  John Wayne.. maybe two fave.. among many for me..  Rio Lobo and Big Jake Probably most watched. (Bet Pauline's hubby, would bring up. How unreal the blood color, looked back in those days.)
Magnificent seven .. again, just some very good lines. With strong acting performances.

Clint Eastwood .. Pale rider maybe most watched. Yet Hang em high as well.
Anyone else??

Westerns hmm for me The Magnificent Seven (and I can name all 7 without using google) "I Ain't never ridden shotgun on a hearse before." Steve McQueen (gorgeous) and The Outlaw Josey Whales brilliant adaptation of a good book marred only by the mis-casting of the insipid and skinny Sondra Locke as the love interest when in the book she is described as a big healthy girl (much like I used to get referred  to as being).

His lordship's favourites are (all Jimmy Stewart)  Winchester 73, The man who shot liberty valance, Two Rode Together classic line whilst eating with the indians Richard Widmark "what is this?" Jimmy Stewart "Its pawnee" RW "What's pawnee?" JS "A very small horse!"  and of course The Alamo, Gettysburg and Glory although I say they are war films not traditional westerns his response is they are in the USA which is west of us so they count!!!!

Oh and we both like Cat Ballou me because of Lee Marvin and his drunk horse him for a very young Jane Fonda

For me it would be "All The Marbles" with Peter Falk my all time favorite now if we talk tv shows my number 1 show would be NCIS, II'd love to go one on one with Abby Schutto or Ziva David!

Belly punching Latina ... Have to agree with the Ncis like .. Have first 6 seasons on disc ... PLUS  Think a LOT of ladies.. would like to tangle, with Abby .. YET think Ziva would surprise a LOT of ladies. Small in size, yet LOT of kick ass training, and moves!!

Thanks for posting ... All the Marbles... That is from the late 70's isn;t it??  Interesting choice.

Which Haunted are you talking about?? Think a few movies had been named that. Nice you added the links. Yet some people, do not usually like jumping links, for computer safety. You have several movies listed..
Can you maybe give some info on them. When posting also??

WHY StarBear ...  you say things about Kasia like that. She may not be willing to help storm the castle later!!   ;)

"Excuse me, but I think if I kill all the golfers. Won't I get into trouble??"
"NOT golfers.. the Gophers man!!"

Hey Moose.. Rocko .. Help the judge remember where he has his wallet.. Rodney Dangerfield at his best!!  Nice add..

Aerver .... NICE  adding the wikepedia...  Thought some of the titles where from India or Hindi. Now I see you add Hungama .. knew it for sure.
True ... depending on your location. The titles probably not as easy to get. Definately explains the need, for the youtube links!!

With Caddyshack entered .. Have to throw in the original  Police Academy!!
Airplane ... I am serious and stop calling me shirley!
Hot Shots . also good parody .. Hard to go wrong. When you give the set up.. for pilot Dead meat Thompson!!  LOL

HOLIDAY FAVES!!!

Ok going by store displays ... and U.S. Thaksgiving and black friday few weeks away.
WHAT are your fave Christmas or holiday movies??  Animated OR live action!!

Know It's a wonderful life mentioned.. and Christmas story.. (BTW anyone else know. They have done a Christmas Story 2??)

Few of my faves.. top of the list. National Lampoon's Christmas vacation with Chevy Chase. Some GREAT scenes, and lines.
"I used to have that metal plate in my head Clark." "Then everytime Katherine would start the microwave." "I would piss myself, and forget who I was." Randy Quaid, as cousin Eddie.
OK and being honest.. MAY not always have the quotes right, word for word. YET hope it helps remind you of the scene.

Year with out Santa Clause..  animated.. Those silly miser brothers!!  LOL

Christmas with the Kranks ... Tim Allen N Jamie Lee Curtis.  Kind of enjoys the community saving Christmas. Like It's a wonderful life.. YET in a more warped and modern way!!

How the Grinch stole christmas with Jim Carey. Also good for extra views..
THERE a few of them thrown out.. Anyone else??

The original Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim as Scrooge. "Are there no workhouses are there no prisons?" "Christmas a poor excuse to pick a mans pocket every 25th of December!"

Pauline.. see your going with the classic version.  I have jokingly stated at work. I think a new method of torture. To get someone to talk.

Is to make them sit, and watch. EVERY version of Christmas Carol, live action, and animated. Back, to back, conintuing until they talk!!

Have to admit.. think my favorite take on this. Is with Patrick Stewart. A bit of the theater actor added in.

Surprising version, was newer animated Disney. Jim Carey part of it. YET here I am thinking Hey  Disney/ Jim Carey.. This has got to be a very slapstick version.. YET was I wrong. Definately trying to stay true, to some of the darker themes and elements of Dickens classic.
Was very surprised, part of opening, with the stealing of coins. From the dead Jacob Marley, by Scrooge.

Being honest.. STILL love the Rankin and Bass early animated. Like Rudolph the Red nosed reindeer, and others.

Anyone else on your fave holiday movies??

HAVE GOT to add this!!

Ok shall we play movie trivia??  Extra points, if you can catch this one. MAY have been mentioned here before...

Actually saw this as a bumper sticker, while driving to work friday.

Hello, I am Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die!!

KEWL .....
OH and THANKS to the comments by MaryD, and Pauline.. Have a copy of Hidalgo.. that I will be watching. With in the week!!

So ladies ... trusting having 2 of you, give it a mention.
BTW ANYONE ever see other movie with Viggo Mortenson in it.
History of Violence??   Interested in it, yet never seen it yet.
He is kind of like a Jimmy Stewart or Harrison Ford actor. Seems to have his own charisma about him.  That helps, films he is part of.

Viggo Mortensen (deep sighs) History of Violence its a pretty good film that seems to have slipped under the radar of a lot of people. He also plays a gun fighter in the western Apaloosa alongside Ed Harris against perenial villain Jeremy Irons. He was also in a Perfect Murder with Michael Douglas.
