Mary and Teresa, that was two nasty fights. Unfortunately, Teresa didn't have the condition to fight for a long time back then and I don't think it would be any better today. Mary always struck me as quite fit. Renee and Mary hated each other, did everyone see that? There must definitely have been something besides the prize money.

You only need to watch it closely to figure that out.  But they did a good enough job selling it to convince a lot of people it was real.  So that is to their credit.

As an old Crystal customer, I find these updates very interesting.  And your photos give you the credibility that is lacking on the Internet.  So you have my sincerest gratitude for the 411.

My fascination is this:  What's the connection?  Do you guys all work at the same post office?  Did you go to HS together?  Obviously, to know so many of these women means that they were, and apparently still are connected in some way.   Are you a contemporary or some younger guy who just happened to fall in with these folks?

I remember that here in NorCal when Roller Derby closed up shop, a lot of the Derby Queens found work in other areas (ultilities companies, schools, etc.) so people got to know them outside of the track.  I'd like to hear to your story as well.

I know the one who filmed all the fights. He is more of a boxing fan. I tried but he has no interest in ever filming fights again because it would hinder his reputation as he runs something in the local community. The only company he spoke highly of was ECNWC . But like I said earlier he prefers boxing which to me was surprising.

Is it true that Elaine was Deb's sister? I remember her getting destroyed by Sally in that fight and would love to know how Deb felt watching her sister getting beaten down like that.

My favorite fight with Mary was against the bigger Shawna. Shawna had at least 20lbs on her and yet Mary took her down got on top of her and beat her ass.

Sally finished off Elaine quite easily here. I believe the only fight Sally did for Crystal, Elaine - sister of Debs - did a couple of the fights  amateur section of Crystal.  I did love hearing Debs story of fighting Elaine when they were in their teens.

This was from the live action clips section. Don't know if it's true or not. I do remember seeing Elaine in the background in a couple other fights so it's definitely possible.

Wasn’t Deb associated with this fellow somehow? Deb was a skilled boxer, had a tattoo of boxing gloves ( if I’m thinking of the Same Deb…)
